Nintendo 3DS XL Review

Last year Nintendo took a gamble by a handheld almost as risky as it was in its day the Wii. It was the 3DS, a console in the wake of his brilliant DS dual screen and touch, and he added a 3D display without glasses. It's been a year and a half since then Nintendo has decided to renew with a version, being only slightly larger, increased by 90% their screens to the delight of your eyes. Here is his analysis.

Maintain fixed console while playing and simultaneously view the screen with your eyes and the 3D display of the camera is difficult. Note that I am recording in 3D a 3D display. Although once you see a double image, I assure you that using it is wonderful and perfect 3D effect. I've spent several hours playing with no hassle and if for some reason your stereoscopic vision is not perfect, you can adjust the effect or even eliminate it.

The 3DS XL, like the 3DS uses a parallax barrier display, which provides stereoscopic although without glasses requires holding the screen at a distance and fixed position. This can be annoying for some people used to move a lot or for those who have problems with stereoscopic vision.
But I think Nintendo has solved this technological limitation of a great way with a controller that allows you to change the depth or even eliminate the 3D effect. I have cameras and smartphones with glasses-free 3D system and the 3DS is the only product that allows this. Good for Nintendo.
The new 3DS XL, but has the same resolution on their screens, 800 x 240 at up to 320 x 240 3D in touch bottom, they now have a size of 4.88 "and 4.18" respectively.
90% more than it shows a lot. This allows even greater control and 3D immersion both finger touch and stylus with much better, without the pixelization is actually increased significantly.

The good
-Huge screens over the original (90% more) without greatly increased the size of the console (46%).
-Possibility to choose the level of stereoscopy and even turn it off.
-3D camera and augmented reality applications.
-The inclusion of a touch screen makes it more than just a console.

The bad:
-The lack of the second analog stick directly to the console.
-Limitations and difficulties in transferring information and downloads.
-Much more robust than the original but perhaps less pretty.

Veredict

The Nintendo 3DS is due to parental control, its setting and themes, excellent games, character of social integration and its enormous potential, definitely the best handheld console for kids. Although adults also have their place and now the XL can also enjoy it better with a larger screen and controls.

The 3D display also allows to enter the world of estereocopía comfortably, and even create content with dual external camera. Besides dual touch screen, as happened with the DS and 3DS, makes it incredibly versatile.

Clearly, you're a console that offers more than just gaming, the 3DS XL is definitely your best option and the difference of 30 euros with respect to his younger sister are well worth.
